The Man Behind SYGATO
Founder's Note
From a young age, our founder’s world revolved around engines, speed, and the thrill of creating machines that moved with purpose. A lifelong car enthusiast, he began racing 4-stroke go-karts at just 12, quickly discovering that motorsport—and engineering—were where he truly belonged.
At 16, when an ATV for farm use felt out of reach, he decided to build one himself. Using a Rajdoot engine and auto tyres, he engineered his first home-built ATV—an early glimpse of the hands-on ingenuity that would later drive Sygato Motors.
He went on to study Automobile Engineering at PSG Tech, Coimbatore, where he deepened his technical foundation while actively racing in the Indian National Racing Championship (Saloon Car category) from 2008 to 2010. Those seasons brought several wins, multiple podiums, and invaluable racing insight. During the same period, he also led the design and drove the team’s SAE Baja buggy, securing an all-India 3rd place in 2010.
Pursuing his ambition further, he completed a Master’s in Automotive Systems Engineering from Loughborough University, UK, before joining Jaguar Land Rover as a Systems Engineer in Driver Aid Systems. Five years in product development at JLR sharpened his engineering discipline, working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and automotive excellence.
Returning to India to manage his family’s agricultural machinery business, he continued to chase his passion. What started as a personal dream at 16 eventually became a seven year journey to build his own 2 seater sports car overcoming challenges, redesigns, and countless nights in the workshop.
That same drive led him to build a shifter kart for himself when local options fell short. One friend wanted one, then another, and soon word spread. When a new international-spec karting track approached him to design high-performance rental karts, the first commercial order marked the beginning of something bigger.
Today, Sygato Motors stands on this foundation of passion, perseverance, and precision engineering—creating some of the best rental go-karts, mini bikes, and two-seater performance cars, proudly built in Coimbatore.
